Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy describes the activities that are prohibited when using Spix and the enforcement actions we may take when those rules are violated.
General Rule
You may use Spix only in ways that are lawful, non-deceptive, technically responsible, and consistent with the safety and trust expectations of the people you contact.
If a use case is abusive, risky, deceptive, or likely to harm recipients, carriers, inbox providers, or the Spix platform, we may restrict it even if it is not listed below.
Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following activities are prohibited on Spix:
- Fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation, identity theft, social engineering, credential harvesting, malware delivery, or unlawful surveillance.
- Spam, unsolicited bulk outreach, list bombing, purchased or scraped contact lists, or any communication campaign that lacks the permissions required by law.
- Harassment, threats, intimidation, hateful conduct, defamation, or content that promotes violence or exploitation.
- False, misleading, or spoofed caller ID, sender identity, branding, or relationship claims.
- Unauthorized call recording, deceptive AI impersonation, or undisclosed automation where disclosure is required by law or platform rule.
- Collection, storage, or processing of sensitive or regulated data without a lawful basis and appropriate controls.
- Use of Spix to avoid, test, or interfere with other providers suppression lists, compliance controls, spam filters, or abuse safeguards.
Platform and Security Restrictions
You may not use Spix in ways that threaten the security, availability, or integrity of the platform.
- Do not probe, scan, exploit, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, quotas, or account boundaries except where expressly permitted by law.
- Do not interfere with system operation, degrade service for others, or use automation in a way that creates unreasonable load or abuse risk.
- Do not resell or multiplex access to Spix in a way that hides the true sender, customer, or risk profile from us.
High-Risk and Sensitive Use Cases
Certain use cases require heightened caution and may be prohibited unless we approve them in writing and you implement appropriate controls.
- Emergency response, public safety dispatch, or any workflow where failure or delay could create imminent risk of death or serious bodily harm.
- Autonomous legal, medical, credit, insurance, employment, or similar decisions with significant effects on individuals without meaningful human review.
- Political persuasion, debt collection, government impersonation, or other heavily regulated outreach without a lawful operating framework and clear authorization.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this Policy and may remove content, reject traffic, pause campaigns, require remediation, suspend accounts, or terminate access where we believe it is necessary to protect Spix, users, recipients, or the public.
We may also share relevant information with carriers, inbox providers, vendors, regulators, or law enforcement when appropriate.
Reporting Abuse
If you believe Spix is being used in violation of this Policy, contact [email protected] with relevant details, logs, or examples.
Policy Changes
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to address new threats, regulatory expectations, or platform risks. Continued use of Spix after the effective date of an updated policy means you accept the updated policy.
